Track Notes:
If I recall, this was the first MDS track. The first few takes of the vocals Dave was having a bit of trouble with the timing or words. Figuring he was bopping and grooving to the music too much, at the start of the last take he said “less dancing, more singing”. We thought it was funny so it was left in.

Lyrics:
“Less dancing, more singing”…
Mary got upset right after school
She went straight home because there she had the cure
And while she heats the spoon
the bubbling tar awaits her arm
You can almost hear her veins collapse from here
You can almost see her tainted blood on the floor
There was a time when I really cared that much
Now I couldn’t give a shit at all
There was a time where I really cared
There was a time I used to care this much
Now I couldn’t give a shit at all
There was a time I used to care.
Billy got home about an hour or so ago
Bought himself a brand new toy
A little something to relive the pressure
of his parents, his home and his school
You can almost feel the gun against his head
You can almost see his brains splatter the wall
There was a time when I really cared that much
Now I couldn’t give a shit at all
There was a time where I really cared
There was a time I used to care this much
Now I couldn’t give a shit at all
There was a time I used to care.
Johnny and Joni met after school
They got into his car and drove into the woods
There she spread her legs for him
She woke up pregnant and infected with HIV
Tony and his sister went out to play
Stole a car and drove it away
In the middle of a joy ride downtown
They drove it sixty miles an hour into a crowd
You can almost hear the bones break from here
You can almost see the blood on the car
There was a time when I really cared that much
Now I couldn’t give a shit at all
There was a time where I really cared
There was a time I used to care that much
Now I couldn’t give a shit at all
There was a time I used to care.
